Question: Retrieving only required columns with advance isheet search endpoint

Hi,

  I am looking for only getting specified set of columns using the advance search. Not sure how to specify. I tried doing the below , but it gives me all the default view columns

<filterdata>

    <data>

        <column sequence="" attributecolumnid="7893">

            <columnspecificdetail>

               <columnids>7089,7091</columnids>

            </columnspecificdetail>

            <rawdata>

             <choices>

                     <choice>

                          Complete

                     </choice>

                </choices>

            </rawdata>

        </column>

    </data>

</filterdata>

  • Hi Bala, you are right - my call does not limit to only a specific subset of the columns but will return all columns. Didn't ever notice that since our iSheet is rather small. Sorry but can't help you in that case.

  • Also I do not see any detail documents on the expressionquery on the filters that xml has and how to utilize. I had one example just for column level filtering. But not much. Not sure what are various features expressionquery filtering provides and how to define those.

  • The suggested answers just return the default columns or if we add allcolumn to header the api will return all columns .No doubt on that part. But my question is about the only specified column attributes. Say there are 100 columns in the view. I would like to query only 50 columns or get response only for those specific 50 columns from the same view . I do not want to create a new view with 50 columns , rather saw give me 50 columns where search string = ?.

  • Hi Bala,

    this is how we use it, it is with JSON instead of XML but works just fine.

    URL: {{HighQ_Base_URL_Prod}}/14/isheet/{{iSheetID}}/search
    Method: POST
    body: { "data" : { "column" : [ { "attributecolumnid" : , "rawdata" : { "value" : "" } }

    Hope it helps
