New idea

Working with Docusign using REST Api

Hi all,

I have a need to integrate the signing process with Docusign in another UI (not HighQ UI), which will eventually calling the HighQ REST Api.

What I've done so far:

- In the new UI, display the list of files (get from HighQ Api)

- when user click "Send for signature", integrate with Docusign to send the document for signing process

- Watches for status changes of the sent document

- When the document is signed, get the signed content and add the signed document as new version in the HighQ via HighQ Api

What  I cannot do:

- Update the status of the Sent document (such as Draft, Sent for Signature, Signed...), since there is no api that allow update status of a file

Question: Is there any way to do that?

Also, from the flow above, the integration with Docusign is done in another UI context and not related to the feature provided by Docusign. I guess that it would be better if I can use the exposed APIs from HighQ that support the integration with Docusign. Are there any Apis for Docusign integration?

  • Thanks Peter Simpson, I will have a try

  • Ha Nguyen Danh yes, you can use a metadata iSheet view to drive the display of the files module.

Admin > Module Settings > Files

  • Thanks Peter Simpson for your suggestion, using metadata ISheet will help to add custom column in the Metadata section of the file, right?
Is there anyway we can display that metadata custom field in the files grid?

  • Ha Nguyen Danh We are not exposing any of our internal integration's API endpoints.

Have you tried using a file metadata iSheet, with a choice column containing choices which represent the different states and updating that programatically? It would functionally be, more-or-less, the equivalent.
