Question: Get Created UserId of a ISheet item

27216

Hi all,

When calling getISheetItem API to get the details of one ISheet item, if I get all the columns (allColumnRequired=true) I will have the CreatedBy column information. But if I just need to get the ISheet Item with columns specified in a specific View, that view may not include the "CreatedBy" column --> and I may not have that information.

https://<highqinstance name>/showSwaggerUI.action?#/ISheet%20Module/getISheetItem

Is there a way that I can quickly get the Created By information of an ISheet Item based on a view without getting all columns (allColumnRequired=true)?

Please notice that I also need the user id of the CreatedBy information. I have tried the Audit API, but this does not help me because it only returns for me the name of the user who created the ISheet Item.

  • Ha Nguyen Danh, no there isn't. Your only option is to add the User Lookup column to the view, or views.

    Alternatively, depending on where it's used and frequency, if for back-end admin processes, you could clone the view on-the-fly, and then drop it after use - where your cloned view has the additional columns you require. There is no native "clone view" API, so you would have to built this.

  • I do have a similar requirement to search greater than modified date and the only option is to find the attributecolumnid using allColumnRequired=true and then use it in the advance search api. The columns api will not list those system-generated columns

  • Balamurali Bheeman, not sure what you mean by "The columns api", but both:

    includes the Modified Date in the response, e.g.

    {
          "columnid": 1234,
          "name": "Modified date",
          "type": 5,
          "section": 9999,
          "description": "
    ", "columnconditionstate": "Display field", "columnconditions": { "row": [] }, "columnspecificdetail": { "defaultvalue": "CUSTOM", "columnwidth": "140", "mandatory": "0", "allowsearch": "1", "formattype": "DATE_TIME", "dateformat": "", "defaultdateandtime": "0", "readonly": "0" }, "templatesheetcolumnid": 0, "systemgeneratedtype": "4" }

    for the "columns" API call.

  • oh Ok thank you. I did not try with admin endpoint . Instead I was using /{version}/isheets/{isheetid}/columns
