I'd like to set up an automated process so that each time a file is modified the latest version of that file is emailed to someone directly on the team per their request. However I'm running into a couple problems. Anyone have a way to do this since we can't send attachments directly from the files module via rule builder?

Idea 1:

Use a file metadata isheet to send the email. Use the "last modified" system field as the trigger so that whenever that is updated in the iSheet an email is generated with the document. Issue: The Last Modified filed doesn't appear in rule builder. 

Idea 2:

Using the file metadata isheet set it up so that the last modified field appears. When that changes the modified date should change in the iSheet and use that to trigger the rule. Issue: The Last Modified field doesn't appear in my view in the iSheet, though it does appear in the Edit field, and it doesn't cause the modified date to change.
