Deleting Folders in Deleted Items via API

Hi all,

I'm currently trying to empty the Deleted Items using APIs but running into an issue with the folders.

I can successfully run the Get File List API on the deleted items Folder ID and delete those files, however when trying to do the same with the Get Folder List endpoint I get an access denied.

Has anyone else run into this issue?

    I can see you raised this a few days ago, let me know if you havent already raised this with us, and I can ask the devs why!

  • Hi Peter, that worked perfectly thank you! I have raised with Imran Aziz who was looking into it so it seems like there's a bug with version 2 onwards and this endpoint.

  • Carl Murphy Did you manage to locate the file Deleted Date via the API?

  • Hi Dan,

    Yes, you can use the File Audit API against the ID of the File. This will give you a list of everything that has happened and you can filter the returned JSON/XML for the File deleted action name. Once you have this it will give you the date of when the file was deleted.
