Using PowerAutomate to Refresh Tokens

27310

Hi everyone,

Has anyone been able to refresh an access token using PowerAutomate before?

I've been trying to use the HTTP connector within PowerAutomate and used the set up as seen below, which I believe matches what is outlined in the Using the Refresh Token in this article.

The values are stored in a SharePoint list and I have also tried explicitly entering in the values for each of the Queries.

What seems to happen each time is that I get an InternalServerError as the Status, I thought that it might have been a firewall issue but we have other HTTP calls to various external APIs via PowerAutomate which work fine.

Please can you let me know if anybody has seen this before in PowerAutomate or has got the token refresh process working?

Thanks!
Carl

  • Just in case anybody is interested in the resolution to this, what worked for me was to move the query into the Body of the HTTP call so that it looks like below:

This can then be written back into the SharePoint list so that the updated token can be used for HTTP calls in other PowerAutomate Flows.
