Per article - https://knowledge.highq.com/help/working-with-content/download-or-export-a-bundle-of-files, we should be receiving a notification as soon as a bundle is created and ready for download. A site admin reported that they never receive email notifications when they initiate bundle-creation process and subsequently close the popup window as directed in the message. See attached.
After long investigation with HighQ support (Ticket #81664: No Alerts for Bundle creation), we concluded that this happens when the user does not wait long enough to receive another warning message about some files on the bundle breaching the 250-character limit file path, instead closing the popup expecting to recieve an alert in next few hours. Since the warning was never attended to, the bundle creation never happens. On top of it, Content Management Audit report counts it as 'bundle created' despite no creation at all.
The issue here is that there is no way we can guess that a random 250-character warning will pop up in next 'x' minutes from now. As soon as we click 'Create', we see the default message to close the popup and all users will naturally follow the system advice. The users have understandably been inconvenienced due to this uncertain and uncaught exception. Either the warning must popup immediately after clicking 'create' or it should be emailed to the user to take further action. Please eliminate this loophole in the bundle creation process.
