How to get a user's list of permitted sites and folders

Is it possible to retrieve via API any single Collaborate user's accessible sites and folders/sub-folders?

We're exploring an integration that would upload files to Collaborate. However, we need each individual user to choose which site and folder(s) the document is uploaded/added to, using some UI chooser/dropdown.

It would be important to limit the destination sites/folders to ones to which the user has permission to upload files.

How can we retrieve a user's permitted sites and folders?

  • Left Hook, the access token you generated against the user, will determine what that user has access to, when calling the API's. Without knowing more detail about your workflow, it's difficult to provide an accurate answer to your question. The following API endpoints will be of use given the information above:

    * If you haven't already, it's worth asking your HighQ Support team to enable swagger UI (https:///showSwaggerUI.action).

    The site info returned from the Get all Sites call will include the folder ID of the root DMS folder for that site. You can use the folder API's to then traverse the hierarchy (if that user access token has access to of course).
