Feasibility of embedding custom web parts

Hi,

I've been tasked with determining the feasibility of developing custom web parts to embed in our HighQ site, say in a Content Editor panel, so our external customers can view in HighQ data that is pulled from external sources like Azure.  Technologies used would be scripting languages like javascript, jquery, AngularJS, plus HTML, with scripting libraries pulled from cdns or internal HighQ site file list.  I'm wondering if this is possible and if so, any documentation you could point me towards would be helpful.  Thanks.

  • If you are reaching out to external sources, then you would need those APIs of the external systems to retrieve the data. However, external customers may not have the proper authorization to your external sources.

Therefore, the easiest thing I have found is to leverage the HighQ APIs to load data from external sources into local iSheets. Then your customers may view the data within the iSheet section of the particular site.
