Enable inline editting via API

I need to be able to enable inline editting on columns and on views via the API, when will this be available?

  • Ryan McDonough Hi Ryan, this may already be sorted but I would recommend checking your version of Collaborate as this is currently supported in the Columns and View API

  • David Corrin Hi David, When I checked with support they said I couldn't enable inline editting for a View via the API - do you have example XML of this request as I can't find any documentation around this.

  • Ryan McDonough  Hi Ryan that is incorrect information. Inline editing is available in columns and views. I made a quick iSheet so I generate some xml for you. This is the normal "update view" xml but with an additional element at the bottom named "allowinlinediting"

    If you do

    GET {{hostname}}/api/{{apiversion}}/isheets/admin/{{isheetid}}/views

    This will give you a list of views in the isheet and it will contain the additional element.

    The allowinlineediting is at the bottom. Please note , in a choice column if "includeotheroption" is enabled , you cannot have inline editing enabled.
