Are there any plans for an an API to the Blog? We want to post news from external sources directly into a blogpost.

Yes we do plan to develop the blog API. ISheet and tasks API is at the top of our API roadmap followed by wiki and blog API. Continues improvement and completion of our API is high in our Collaborate roadmap, which we plan to address in the later half of this year. Please note that you can use our blog connector to import blogs into Collaborate site blog. The Blog connector is part of our HighQ Appliance product.
Thanks for the heads up! Where can I find more information about the HigQ Applicance?
It will help us decide how to move ahead.
Rene de Vries Thanks for the information we have discussed on the email yesterday what the possible options are. In this scenario the HighQ Appliance Blog connector is not something we can use.
Are there any updates on the Blog API? Also, what about Events?
Mark Salamon nice to hear from you and hope you are doing well. The Blog API is in the backlog and we plan to pick that up soon, however, due to other critical improvements the blog API might have to be pushed to the next release. I will provide an update closer to the 5.5 release. There are already few Events API's available to use however we plan to address more Events API's, however, it's a bit early to confirm that they will be addressed in the 5.5 release.
Imran Aziz good to hear from you too! And I hope you are doing well. I was curious. The HighQ Appliance includes the XML/RSS integration for Events and Blogs. (This likely is not much used anymore.) Does the HighQ Appliance use REST APIs to insert and update events and blog posts, and perhaps read existing events/blogs? If so, could those REST APIs be published?
